Located at the edge of Amsterdam’s famous red light district, Cafe the Queen’s Head has been a down-to-earth gay hotspot for nearly two decades. As a gay bar we welcome guests of every gender, race, sexuality and age. Some have been visiting the bar for years, others are newcomers that enjoy the stunning view over the canals for the first time. Embracing diversity has been at the heart of the Amsterdam gay scene and Café The Queen’s Head is no stranger in this tradition.
What to expect?
During the week you can sit down, unwind, make new friends and enjoy the priceless view (the bartenders or the canals, your pick). We start at 16:00 and keep going till 01:00. During weekends you can order a cocktail and dance the night away to the tunes of one of our resident DJ’s, who play their funky and catchy music from 22:00 until 3:00 every Friday and Saturday.
Drag Bingo on Tuesdays
Every week on Tuesday we host our world famous Drag Queen Bingo! Be sure to make it here early if you want a seat. The Bingo Queen of the evening arrives at 20:00, first round at 21:00, open till 01:00. Check our calendar for more details.
